Roger Cozens of Greenacres Consultancy has a master’s degree in Agricultural Development, specializing in business management and agricultural economics. He is an experienced agronomist, Fellow of the British Institute of Agricultural Consultants and has spent an average of 6 months each year on overseas assignments in over 22 countries in Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe over the last 20 years. His work has focused in the arable, forestry, and horticultural sectors and ranged between temperate, tropical and arid land natural resource management. A large proportion of his work has revolved around training, moderating workshops and lecturing particularly in areas of climate change adaptation, renewable energy, marketing, and organic farming. He has organised and carried out a number of market development plans for example in Turkey to analyse the status of organic agriculture and opportunities to develop new organic projects for the EU project, Organic Farming for Turkey. He has recently returned from a 3 year assignment in Nepal where he was working as Climate Resilient Agriculture adviser to develop the national adaptation plan for Nepal with the Nepal government delivered at the COP24 conference in Katowice, Poland in 2018.
